Italian chefs at the Merano Wine Festival 2010

Also this year, at the Merano Wine Festival 2010, not only famous signature wines, but also great Italian chefs at the GourmetArena, a place dedicated to culinary and gastronomic events of the festival. From Saturday 6th to Monday 8th of November 2010, the  GourmetArena of the Merano Wine Festival will be filled with great Italian chefs who will offer colorful and tasty cooking shows in front of guests, armed strictly with a knife and fork. Together with producers of excellence, Molteni cucine of last generation and guests from around the gourmet world, present their dishes in direct, accessible to all. Who are these great Italian chefs?  Playing at home Christian Pircher of the restaurant Kirchsteiger in  Völlan-Foiana di Lana (BZ), * Herbert Hintner of the restaurant  Zur Rose in San Michele Appiano (BZ) and the druid chef Heinrich Schneider of the restaurant Auener Hof di Sarntal/Val Sarentino (BZ). Haute cuisine directly from South Tyrol. Then there's the Campania with Berardino Lombardo from the Il Contadino a Caianello (EC), Angelo D’Amico of the Restaurant Barry in Benevento, Renato Martino from the Restaurant Vairo Del Volturno  in Vairano Patenora (CE), Francesco Sposito from the restaurant Taverna Estia in Brusciano (NA) and 2-star Michelin Alfonso Caputo of the restaurant Taverna Del Capitano in Marina del Cantone-Nerano (NA). A Campania really interesting! Then there will be Andrea Canton from the Restaurant La Primula in San Quirino (PN), with his magic from Friuli. The kitchen across the border will be in the hands of a great Slovenian chef, Tomaz Kavcic from the Restaurant Pri Lojzetu, Castle Zemono-Vipava.
