World White Truffle of Alba Auction 2010

The event, founded in 1999, takes place Sunday, November 14, 2010 in the Hall of Masks in the Castle of Grinzane and, through a satellite link, it communicates directly with two other destinations in the world (in past years have reached destinations like Paris, Hong Kong , Moscow, Las Vegas, London, Monaco Munich, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Hollywood). There are five different lots of truffles from each destination and the guests at the event can buy them as in a traditional auction, but a lot is presented by the Hall of Masks and can be purchased by the guests of all three destinations. It is certainly an international event intended to raise awareness of the White Truffle of Alba in Italy and abroad. Each year the initiative has had important guests, including Piero Chiambretti, Alessandro Del Piero and Ricky Tognazzi, and has benefited from the collaboration and management of the well-known “gastronaut” journalist Davide Paolini. On the occasion of the XII World White Truffle of Alba Auction, Aimo Moroni of the restaurant Aimo e Nadia in Milan receives the award of "Ambassador of the White Truffle of Alba in the World" from the President of the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour.
