The Sagrantino of Montefalco, one of the DOCG of the area, is exclusively produced in Umbria, in the towns of Montefalco, Bevagna, Gualdo Cattaneo, Castel Ritaldi and Giano in Umbria, all in the province of Perugia. As for the vine: leaves, bunches and berries of medium size, very thick waxy skin; the fruit tends towards a medium-late maturing and has good resistance to cold.
