Typical products of Puglia at “Calici di luna”
Saturday 25th and 26th of September 2010 will be held the event "Calici di luna" for the excellent regional products and wines of Puglia
Saturday 25th and 26th of September 2010, in the sweet harvest time, will be held the event "Calici di luna" that will bring in the Apulian town of Acquaviva delle Fonti (BA) a representative of the nonprofit movement Identità Immutate (created in 2002 by Rosanna Ercole Mellone to protect and promote small Italian companies custodians of traditional and niche products) and will allow the public to know and taste traditional foods and wines of Puglia (from the Primitivo wine or the DOC Candia of Colli Apuani). The event will sign a twinning between the cultural and culinary land of Bari and of Massa-Carrara, where the nonprofit movement Identità Immutate originated.
Also in the traditional vein of the movement, Sunday, Sept. 26, will be awarded prizes to the best wines and typical products from Puglia, present at "Calici di Luna", in the opinion of a jury of specialists. The Association Terraviva of Acquaviva delle Fonti, committed to the promotion and development of the area, organized the festival "Calici di Luna" in the country famous for its astronomical observatory Acquaviva. The consortium, along with Identità Immutate, therefore, invites enthusiasts and professionals to spend two days in late September under the benign influence of the moon, to celebrate a precious part of the Italian gastronomy.
