The Brolo, Garda Oil for Competition

The Company Brolo and its challenge to reach the best extra virgin olive oil.
On the hills Morainic of Lake Garda, where originally was produced Groppello DOC wine, in 1998 starts the Brolo Challenge and its extra virgin olive oil. The place of origin of this oily nectar is Polpenazze del Garda (BS) magical site of Lombardy, where the mild climate and the land rich in humus cgive life to the olive trees and vines. The cultivars are Leccino 70% Casaliva 25% Pendolino and 5% other varieties. The picking is done by hand; the grinding-extraction is a continuous cycle at cold. The Garda oil is limpid, clear green color with yellow highlights, and the aroma is intense and persistent, with hints of freshly cut grass, olive leaf, thistle, green apple and almond. In the mouth is amazing, almost sweet, savory, and spicy. Memories aftertaste refer back to the almond and thistle. Perfect raw on raw foods, shellfish and fassone firstly; very good with winter and spring vegetables, and a gentleman with risotto with artichokes, asparagus and mushrooms.
