Restaurants in Merano? Stars in avalanche in South Tyrol

Four restaurants, in Merano and the surrounding areas of South Tyrol, have received valuable recognition from the Michelin Guide, delivered in November 2009. At this point Merano and its environs can now boast, along the Alto Adige, a unique and prestigious record: the highest number of restaurants that have had the merit of obtaining recognition of the Michelin star. In Alto Adige rises to sixteen points of excellence, bringing the Province of Bolzano to be recognized as the province with the largest number of starred restaurants in Italy.
