Launch of cheese and wine tasting

The curious now know it well and are not losing the opportunity to spend a special day dedicated to the outdoors, wine tourism and entertainment. The unusual and without doubt original race of launch of the cheese along the narrow streets of farm Travaglino Calvignano, Oltrepò Pavese, has become a fixture and is awaited by many who take advantage of this event for a trip outside. The seventh edition of the exciting “Rolling Cheese Cup” takes place next June 20th in the beautiful Calvignano cellar, one of the historical wineries of Oltrepo operating since 1868, whose foundations date back to 1111. For the occasion the Travaglino winery will be open all day, ready to welcome the curious that will enjoy the bizarre event to spend a Sunday outside in nature with good wine. After the race, after the nomination of the 2010 winners of the “Rolling Cheese Cup” and after the winner is announced, the cheese used for the race will be "cracked" and combined with fabulous wines, distributed to all present.
