We report the production of excellent ham in Valle D'Aosta.  Among the food typical of the Valle D'Aosta, the  Jambon de Bosses stands out for its refined delicacy: it is a dop product characterized by compact form, dark red color, aromatic flavor, slightly salty with a hint of sweet. The ham, sliced, or rather, hand cut is excellent when accompanied with a slice of brown bread and mountains’ butter, or maybe with honey and walnuts. The leg of pork used to produce the ham is carefully chosen from quality beef - a valuable breed (Italian heavy pigs) from farms located in the regions of Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia Romagna - is dry salted, with added natural flavors (thyme and herbs) without the addition of any additive. www.jambondebosses.it
