Feast of bluefish at Anghiò festival in San Benedetto of Tronto
From 1st to 4th of July 2010 there will be a culinary event on bluefish in San Benedetto of Tronto.
Anchovies, sardines, mackerel, amberjack, tuna and other fish varieties are blue fish protagonists of the festival Anghiò that will be held in San Benedetto of Tronto, in the province of Ascoli Piceno 1st to 4th July 2010. In four days of conferences, meetings, exhibitions and workshops will be possible to discover the characteristics and qualities of this type of fish. At Anghiò, which in Sanbenedettese means anchovy, you will also learn to cook typical local blue fish recipes, and taste it in combination with fine wines. The restaurants will offer a "Blue Menu", strictly based on the exquisite character of the event. Also for those who wish to prolong at home the pleasure of a healthy dish will be able to buy it conserved at the market “Rompete le scatole”. Other appointments will be essential: the original Aperfish (happy hour) and the relaxation area with reading books and moments devoted to body care. Anghiò will be also a chance to know the traditions and culture of San Benedetto of Tronto, the second fishing port of Italy and home to one of the most important fish markets, as well as canning industry leader in fish processing.
