Books on wine? "Franciacorta, a wine, a land"
“Franciacorta un vino una terra” ("Franciacorta, a wine a land"): words and images that tell the history and tradition of wine production in the area that gave birth to the most refined Italian sparkling wine
Books on wine? "Franciacorta, a wine, a land" is the story of the wineries in Franciacorta (wine cellars of the Consortium), which well describes the happy blend of the skill of human labor and nature's bounty. This is the theme of the book "Franciacorta a wine, a land", a new publishing project of the Swan Group, in collaboration with the Consortium for the protection of Franciacorta. The book is an interweaving of words and images that tell the history and tradition of wine production in the area that gave birth to the most refined Italian sparkling wine. The story of the wines of Franciacorta runs on two plans in order to describe more fully the essence of the production of wine: one is narrative that chronicles the adventures of a small area of Lombardy and the other is to look through the lens of photographers from different poetic, the Franciacorta is portrayed during the passage of four seasons. The pictures stop the highlights that draw the portrait of its wine, a synthesis of dedication, experience and passion of those who work and live in these hills.
The authors, Francesco Arrigoni, Andrea Grignaffini, Pierluigi Gorgoni, Roger Sesto, Marco Tonelli, with the collaboration of Riccardo Ricci Curbastro, enrich the photographic record with the narration of nature and culture of Franciacorta.
