A Jewel of Amarone

From Valpantena, region of north of Verona, take life the cutting edge of "Pasqua Family", the new Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine wine. The Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Riserva 2003 is enclosed in 2000 elegant numbered bottles, to celebrate 85 years of the winery in Verona. The style and the image were edited in detail, from the black bottle in Burgundy format to the seal in red wax, where the logo is engraved with a stamp. To the elegant and essential labels the Pasqua Family wanted to affix his signature in gold. A story that dates back to ancient times, when Nicholas Pasqua arrived in Verona from Puglia in the '20s, he used to distinguish the best bottles produced by his valuable vineyards, personalizing them with his signature and reserving them to his family and a few friends.  Strict hand selection of grapes, aged an extra year before being traded, ruby red color, dense and inscrutable, smell emits scents of cherries, cherry jam and red fruits, followed by notes of leather, licorice, cocoa and balsamic on the finish. It is a meditation wine, but also for red meat and game. Interesting is its combination with dark chocolate.
