XVII Public Symposium of high pastry

From 7th to 10th of November 2010, the group of 53 members of the Academy of Italian Pastry Chefs Masters met in Brescia for the XVII Public Symposium
It took place in early November, in Brescia, the XVII Symposium Public of high Italian pastry with the group of 53 members of the Academy of Italian Pastry Chefs Masters. The multitude of people present and came to enjoy and applauding the shapes, colors, smells and feelings given by the sweets that the masters of Italian pastry have studied and compared to get the best possible products which after were awarded. An internal competition in which the great pastry chefs were called into question, criticizing and praising, tasting and voting to elect the best in the different specialties in the race. The magnificent hall Scalabrini of the Villa Fenaroli Palace Hotel, Paolo Sacchetti of the “Pasticceria caffè Nuovo Mondo” was awarded the Gold Medal for having made the best pastry mignon with honey, Iginio Massari from the “Pasticceria Veneto” in Brescia won the Gold Medal for the traditional or innovative wedding cake while Gino Fabbr from the “Gino Fabbri pasticcere” in Bologna won the gold for the great artistic and aesthetic sense demonstrated in the realization of the show table, on the theme of marriage. Great excitement also for Armando Lombardi that was recognized for the constant and extraordinary professionalism, high technique and great artistic sense shown that always provides to his customers and his colleagues. Finally, for the famous Salvatore De Riso (AMPI member since 1994 and familiar face at the Prova del Cuoco) who has been recognized with the gold medal as the Pastry Chef of the Year 2010 - Pavoni Trophy for perseverance in the pursuit of quality related to the traditions of Campania, the great entrepreneurial skills at the service of their colleagues and also the dedication of the principles of the Academy of Italian Pastry Chefs Masters.
