The sweetest of the events in Pisa
On the 2nd and 3rd of October 2010, the city of Pisa will stage the fifth edition of Pisa Sweetly, the only event dedicated entirely to quality handmade desserts of the Tuscan tradition
In the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of October 2010 will be held Dolcemente Pisa, an event dedicated to pastry and especially to Tuscan cakes. The objective of this fifth edition is to offer visitors, young and old, the opportunity to spend the whole day at the town hall of Leopolda participating at the tastings, lectures, trying to steal sweets recipes, at the workshops and shows and other planned activities.
They will be, of course, tastings during which artisans will present their specialties with informative speeches, moments of depth, comparative tastings and pairings with hot chocolate, cakes, wine and spirits. At the same time there will be lectures and pastry workshops conducted by professional pastry chefs that will unravel the secrets of the trade and guide participants in preparing the main typical Tuscan sweets.
It is also planned a moment of delicious confrontation between Tuscan sweets and European tradition ... and yet: the launch of Panforte (Siena), the photo contest, the Arno river cruise and the walking botched.
