The soup conquers California

Laura Torresin, from Alma Cooking School, representing Italy at the Almosta Famous Chef 2010 in California. And she conquers everyone with her soup!
One of the most popular dishes of the country cooking is going to conquer the palates overseas. It happened March 8th, 2010, the eighth edition of the San Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef of the Napa Valley, California. Laura Torresin, 31 years, from Treviso, represented Italy in this lively competition with a personal development of vegetable soup, picking up considerable consensus. The initiative, promoted by Acqua Panna and San Pellegrino Water, saw young talents in the kitchen world confronted with the opinion of famous chefs and personalities from the world of communications, to win a major cash prize and an internship of one year alongside of an internationally renowned chef. Laura stood out among young chefs from the most prestigious professional cooking schools in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico with a potpourri of boiled vegetables, carasau bread, tuna croquettes and consomme served separately. A very feminine and attractive recipe, gained in a very short period of apprenticeship, first at the Osteria La Vittoria from Volpago del Montello (TV) and after at an Australian reality in Byron Bay. Experiences that have suggested to Laura the value of training, and the importance to embark on a course of study at the XI Advanced Course of Italian Cuisine at ALMA cooking school. Here the chef from Treviso honed her skills, to play a highly respected culinary challenge. No prizes but a lot of satisfaction for the way it represented the colors of Alma School and Italian cuisine in the world.
